Hermetic Works

This section includes an online version of G.S.R. Mead's translation of the Corpus Hermeticum. Also featured here are translations of the Ascepius and the Isis Hermetica.

The Corpus Hermeticum

The complete translation of the chief Hermetic text, Corpus Hermeticum, as translated by G.R.S. Mead. While better translations do exist (such as the Copenhaver translation), this is the most accessible translation in the public domain.

The Asclepius

The Asclepius is the other major work generally included as part of the Hermetic corpus. It is also know as the Perfect Discourse.

The Kore Kosmou

The Kore Kosmou, or "Virgin of the Cosmos" (or Virgin of the World), also known as "Isis to Horus", is a remarkable work of Hermetic philosophy. It does not feature Hermes Trismegistus, but rather, the goddess Isis as she passes on the philosophy of Hermes to her son, Horus.
